The Confidence Conversation Part 3: Embrace, Embody & Empower

The E3 is the signature framework that I use to teach - but I think that confidence is the best-relating topic that relates to it. The E3 framework is to “Embrace, Embody & Empower” oneself.

The summation of these three concepts will undoubtedly result in a boost in your confidence in all areas of your life, so let’s dive in.

Embrace

Embrace is all about embracing yourself. Your authentic self. You see, until you are authentic to yourself and others, you will have great difficulty embracing who you are. Learning to acknowledge and love yourself for all that you are - your perfections and imperfections. Those quirks that you have, what you desire to do, have, or be - it’s all a part of who you are and embracing those allow you to live the most true and happy life.

Embody

The next level of gaining confidence is to embody the higher version of yourself, or more simply the version you desire to be. So what is this higher version of yourself? This is the version of you that you desire to be. It does not have to be a completely different version from your current self (though it can be if that’s what you want!), it can simply be a small shift you’d like to make in your life.

For example, perhaps the next level version of yourself wakes up at 5am every morning to do yoga and sip on her coffee while she enjoys the sunrise. Embody this version of yourself by taking the action that must be done to bridge the gap between where and who you are currently, to where and who you desire to be. That is pure embodiment.

Empower

The third and final component of the framework is empowerment. Empowering yourself is about setting yourself up for success - how can you give yourself the authority to take charge of your life?

Empowering yourself can take several shapes and forms and is a highly personalized process, but I do recommend the following:

  • Incorporate mantras and affirmations into your daily routine and self-speak

  • Completing the 4-Step mindset shift to set yourself up for success mentally. You can read all about that in the blog post here

  • Combat feelings of imposter syndrome by:

    • Educating Yourself

    • Focusing on Your Strengths

    • Hyping Yourself Up

Important note on the incorporation of affirmations and mantras into your life: the key here is to BELIEVE them. Otherwise, they are meaningless words. You must feel into the emotion associated with the mantras and affirmations in order to elicit their full power.

And there you have it! A step-by-step breakdown of how you can embrace your authentic self, embody the next-level version of you, and empower yourself to feel more confident!
