The Confidence Conversation Part 2: The Key to Confidence

What’s the key to Confidence? ⁣⁣

Showing the F up.⁣⁣

No matter what area of your life you desire to feel confident, put yourself in a position where you are forced to acknowledge/be present where you feel the most uncomfortable.⁣⁣

Going to that place daily, repeating that you belong, learning what you need to learn to become more comfortable, STAYING...

And rinse, cycle, repeat.⁣⁣

When you consistently show up to the place that makes you the most uncomfortable - YOU WILL BECOME COMFORTABLE. It might take time, it will probably take learning, but you cannot be uncomfortable forever, especially if you desire to feel confident there.⁣ Because ultimately, we don’t grow unless we step out of the comfort zone.

It’s important to acknowledge that you have the power and ability to change anything and everything in your life.

Unhappy with how you look? Plastic Surgery is an option

Unhappy with your weight? Hire a personal trainer

Unhappy with a habit you have? Focus on personal development to change them.

ACKNOWLEDGING you have power is the first and most important step in realizing you can take what’s yours - and truly, the world is your oyster.

The Confidence Equation

Confidence is the sum of your self-love and self-speak, minus self-sabotage. Let’s break this down:

Self-love is all about how we treat ourselves. How do you treat yourself? Do you even treat yourself? Do you treat yourself the way you would treat your family? A stranger?

Self-speak is the way you speak about yourself to others, and within.

Self-sabotage occurs when you act on self-love or self-speak in a negative way. If you struggle with confidence, but you speak poorly about yourself, how can you ever expect to boost your confidence?

When you show up - you have to show up through your words, within and without, and actions. But more on that next week...next week’s blog post is all about how to embrace, embody, and empower yourself to greater confidence.
